Individual Skills Development

September 30, 2017

MICRO, I, II, and III Soccer Programs

The program focuses on developing individual skills on the ball, where players are taught how to MANIPULATE the ball in different ways, learning moves, feints, fakes, and alternate surfaces in faster and faster fashion. Part of developing softer feet is developing the appropriate mentality and APPROACH to skill development, the ball, and training. Players who are GOAL-oriented and want more out of their soccer experience tend to get more out of this experience. With a softer, cleaner, neater feel for the ball, a player enhances their ability to see the field and make good, early decisions, developing greater INSIGHT.  We have created three tracks for those who are just starting with Individual Skills Development I and progressing to Individual Skills Development III Although it is not a requirement to attend all three sessions, it is recommended that every player starts at ISD I and progresses through to ISD III. 2009 players that feel they are ready to begin ISD I should contact Richard Markham for permission. These spots fill up extremely fast as players look to improve their individual skills over the winter. Any questions? Please contact Richard Markham. It is our goal at BSA to give every player the opportunity to improve.

Manipulate to Master: Developing a feel for the ball requires intensive, focused 1-on-1 repetition with the ball.

Attacking Approach: 1v1 attacking mentality with the ball needs a responsible, disciplined, persistent approach.

Generating Goals: Driven, determined, focused soccer junkies get most out of experience.

Imaginative Insight: Getting cleaner and neater on the ball opens up a player’s vision, allowing them to make better, earlier decisions.

Celebrate Creativity.
